What a treat. I signed up for a class at my local Y to make flower arrangements. For a lowly eight dollars, I made a fall bouquet of the prettiest chrysanthemums nestled in a small basket.
The instructor brought everything we needed, including tools. My only job was to show up and play with cut flowers. I’ve taken other free and inexpensive workshops, too, at my local library, at craft stores and cooking stores.
The thrill of discovering something new and meeting new people is something money can’t buy. Since money is rather dear for all of us these days, finding inexpensive classes makes good sense.

Last winter the cold and snow kept me cooped up far too long. I’ve declared this fall I’ll make the best of the good days, which is how I decided to sign up for Room with a Bloom. A bargain bouquet and a great social hour, meeting neighbors at the Y. Money well spent.
